Take a co-worker out for lunch.
Don’t go to the grocery store alone, take a friend with you.
Invite a family from your neighborhood over for dinner.
Take a prayer walk around your neighborhood and as you see your neighbors, ask them if they have any prayer requests that you can pray for as you walk.
Write appreciation cards to your co-workers or neighbors.
When you go to a grocery store, if something is on sale , buy another one for a neighbor.
When you’re at your favorite fast food place and the cashier hands you your food, just tell them that you are about to bless your food and is there any thing that you need prayer for. I heard this in cell and have tried this many times. Great response !!!
When you are pumping gas at the station, be sure to leave a ChurchintheSon card (you can find them up front) on the pump by where they have to look at the price or amount of gas they are pumping. You can place it in the crease at the top so it is standing up.
Put a penny in your left pocket in the morning and use that penny as a riminder to witness to someone today and when you have told someone about Jesus then put that penny in your right pocket. Do this each day and increase it by one penny each week.
On your cell phones voice mail you can mention that they can leave not just there name and number but any prayer requests they may have.
Leave a few homemade cookies in the mailbox with a note that says “Jesus loves you” for the mail man to find.
Fill a cooler with bottled water and ice. Find a busy intersection and pass them out for free and tell them that Jesus said I should and read them Matthew 10:42
Cooler $15
Water $12
Ice $3
Letting the busy world see Jesus… Priceless
Next time someone starts to complain about there aches and pains, instead of running away just offer to pray for them. Either they will apppreciate it or the next time they see you they won’t mention there aches and pains. Either way is good.
Invite a nieghbor kid to church. Chances are the will FALL IN LOVE WITH GAK and beg the parents to take them next week.
When the check out clerk asks you how you are doing (like they really care when they ask) look them in the eye and tell them that you are “Blessed and Highly Favored” This almost always gets there attention. Remember to take advantage of split second oppertunities to witness to someone.
When telemarketers call your home just look at it as a witnessing oppertunity. They may come to Christ or they may take you off there list. Either way is fine.
While you are cutting your own grass, cut your neighbor’s as well.
Have a Luau at the beach. Each member of your cell brings a new friend. We had one and it was really fun. Made a lot of new friends.
When going through a fast food drive-thru. Look the person who is serving you in the eye and with sincerity tell them how much you appreciate them. The next time you go tell them you appreciate them and have been praying for them. The smile on their face says it all. Soon you’ve made a friend and the door it open.
When you’re at the gym working out invite someone to church.
Have a free movie night on a Friday. Have each one bring one. Make it a fun movie yet one with a message that you as a host can share a testimony of how God changed your life. Provide popcorn, soda, and candy and have a great time building relationships with the people who come. Then invite them to cell the next week.
Have a cell night at your favorite coffee or snack place and each one attempt to tell at least one person about Jesus. Everyone can tell at least one within an hour:)
Invite your kids to come up with some outreach ideas to help get the kids in the neighborhood involved with the outreaches the adults will be attending. Have your kids go with you as you go to meet your neighbors. Have them invite the kids to come out and have fun too. Then help your kids follow through with the ideas they came up with at the outreach.
I did this with my 8-year-old (the brainstorming part) and we plan to have a bar-b-q and let the kids have a hair mousse fight, a bubble blowing contest, and play pictionary. It outta be a blast!
When a new neighbor moves in…take them dinner! Great way to not only introduce yourself but also start building a relationship.
If you live in a subdivision or apartment complex, get together with your cell generation and host a Christian Karaoke Night at your neighborhood’s clubhouse. Pass out flyers one or two weeks before to all of your neighbors. Of course no alcohol, but they could bring a snack to share. And your generation could provide the drinks.
Let use Halloween for Jesus. Plan to leave someone at your home to pass out the Chruch Cards put your name, phone number and cell info on the card.
Also go out Door to Door witnessing and inviting people to church. Your neighbors will be excepting a visit
Leave a generous tip for you server the next time you eat out – with a CITS invite card
Holloween is a perfect time to combat Satan. When we hand out candy to the children we witness to them and to their parents. We set up lawn chairs out front and all night share God’s word, this year along with the candy we will place a CITI card in each bag as a special treat.
Go to a Pizza delivery store and pay to have a pizza delivered to your former co-workers @ a job where you were previously employed. Leave a special note with the delivery stating that you just wanted them to know that God is still working in your life and attach a CITS card. They’ll probably call just to see if your making more money than you did when you worked there and it’ll be a great opportunity to ask them if they want more in there life too…
If one of your neighbors is a single parent take the time to buy they some Flowers. Take it over to them and say God Loves you and attach a CITS card
If you see someone on the road with their car broken, stop your car and see how you can help. In the past someone helped angels and were blessed!
Ladies, go shopping at the mall. I have found many opportunities to talk to the ladies in the clothing stores as they help me find my size…especially if you have a favorite store you like to shop. As a customer they have to listen to you. Use this opportunity. It helps to have a Christian friend or two with you to break the ice. AND don’t forget your Church in the Son cards.
I learned from my brother…Wait until your waiter/waitress is present until you pray for your food and ask if there is something they would like you to pray for. It’s a great way to introduce Jesus and show He cares.
I was down town yesterday to get a food box and clothes for myself, and my 2 kids. I was over whelmed by the lack of care the Christian Reliefe center I went to had. Looking at homeless people as a pest, or, “just” another mouth to feed.
My Soul was crying for these souls, we are not doing enough to really reach out to people, to feed, clothe and love them to pieces through Jesus Christ.. He wants us to meet people at their needs and spread His Awesome word.
I had to walk out of there, I couldn’t take anymore.
Just around the corner is a house that says, Islam is the answer. I saw people going there from the,”Christian Reliefe center” off of, Centrel Ave.
We need to wake up and serve God, not everybody is being fed and cared for in Orlando.
Many were turned away yesterday only to go home empty handed, no food, clean cloths, or some no electricity that day, and no information as to where to get this help.
Most went away and back out into the jungle,(streets), I felt so helpless, I too am in trouble, not much money, but my heart just cried and prayed for these lost people. We are their family, the Family of Christ needs to find and bring home His flock.. Be the Shephurds for Jesus as He wants us to be.
Set up help stands, food, clothes, bath arias, medical, clean beds, a safe home like place, real information in helping them find jobs and or Disability Assistance, a way to find hope again through Jesus love and feeling important as we all are in God’s eyes, in His heart.
All the things people need to get back on their feet again. Look at homeless as just that, homeless, with no one to turn to. They turn to Jesus who is in us, but get turned away, no hope..
This is sooo wrong..
We need to feed the hungry with God’s soul food,His Word, and food….
I saw moms with children, babies too, on the streets that got turned away. They hadn’t “gone through the process” to get the help they needed.
Something is so wrong folks….
We must reach out our hands as Jesus has His to us..
He wants this of us..
Praise His Pricious name….
Amen.
I have an idea for a “neighborhood yard sale”. I am going to let as many of my neighbors know in my area to bring their goods to sell on my front lawn. The more you have to sell, the more people will pass by your home. While my neighbors are there to sell or buy I will offer beverages (lemonade or water) and give CITS cards. I mentioned this to my cell leader Linda and she thought it was a great idea. Maybe some of my cell sisters will come by and help me minister to those in need. I hope that I will have my eyes open to see those in need of prayer and offer my time to them. I will have my Bible ready to show them how much Christ loves and cares for them! This is a great way to clean out the mess in your house while reaching out to your community!
Greetings,
There’s a movie out in theaters now called “Facing The Giants”. I have not seen the movie, but I’ve heard great things about it. My cell group in Houston took about 30 people to go see this movie, and a number of them were in tears and inspired for God.
I hope to see this movie soon and bring a friend with me
Take the opportunity to go and support the many Christian-themed movies that are coming out this season and the months to come. They can generate great conversation while waiting in line to buy tickets and also great conversations can be started at the end of the movie when everyone is filing out. A group of us went to see “One Night With the King” the story of Queen Esther. At the end of the movie, we realized that my son lost his shoe so we had to get one of the attendants to help us find it with his flashlight. And in the midst of that, God led us to witness to a young man who worked for the movie theater. William is going to follow up with him, and we believe we will see him at CITS very soon!
I heard at cell you could hold a free carwash and use it as a way to witness.
invite an unsaved friend to Thanksgiven dinner
leave a Church in the Son card with the toll collector as you pay your toll. The cashier at the store could use one also.
Call an old friend from the past and share your faith with them.
Keep a stack of C.I.T.S card with you in the car and find interesting places to leave them. If your real bold, leave a note “Need Prayer? call 407-000-0000″ and invite them to church or cell.
Stop by a nursing home to share your faith with someone who doesn’t receive visitors often. Bring a snack and a smile.
Stop by any hospital and strike up a conversation with someone who could use a friendly ear to bend. What a great way to share your faith.
Buy Worship C.D’s and share them with your co-workers.
Take an ad out in the paper “I will pray for you, call 407-000-0000
I was at Albertson’s this morning and the check out line was long. I only had 2 items and the woman in front of me let me go ahead of her. I purchased a $5 gift certificate and handed it to her when I was done letting her know that Christ loved her for her selflessness. She was so shocked by that small gesture but I could tell she felt His love.
